Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Elliott Ernest, I am a senior at Central Coast New Tech High School and I am training to earn my spot on a D1 Cross Country/Track team. A little about me is I'm autistic and grew up without any male influence, in a family full of women, and am bisexual, so what I lack in making friends, and social interactions, I make up for on the track. I am very loyal and will go to extreme lengths for my friends if I have to, but when you have given me a reason to change my opinion about you, you'll know. I work hard no matter what time or what day it is. I work hard during the track season, summer, spring, winter, and fall. I get asked a lot, "Hey Elliott, why are you always running?" I'm always like "Why not, I mean it's fun." A little about my passions is I love to work out and run, I have a gym membership for Fitness19 and typically go during XC and Track off-seasons and during the summer; otherwise, I'd be attending any practices, meets, or working on schoolwork. I love running so much that I show up to every practice, including optional or voluntary practices because that is the only way I'll keep getting faster and stronger. I am a very hard-working student and always try my best. Each and every day I strive to live life to the fullest and just all around have fun. I might not be the best-performing athlete available, but I am one of the most loyal, nicest, and self-persevering individuals you will find. In case you're wondering the career I want to have, is to be in the film industry. I have been working on a cinematic universe that contains two TV shows and a movie trilogy, since 7th grade. After high school and college, I want to be a screenwriter also known as a scriptwriter, a director, and possibly a part-time actor. I always try my best and I would love to one day get on a college team and run the 400, 800, 1600, and Cross Country for whoever is accepting of me. Thank you for your time!

Awards and Activities

  • AwardsMy cumulative GPA is 2.5but that is only because the transition to high school was the year that we were almost all online and it just didn't click with me. I am currently sitting at a core 4.0 GPA, and a 4.06 weighted GPA as a high school senior. This is a very big deal for me because I have always wanted to get straight A's but haven't ever actually done it until now, so in my book, this is a huge accomplishment.
  • ActivitiesI have been creating a TV show since 7th grade. I have since turned it into a whole cinematic universe, containing two TV shows and a movie trilogy. I'm so dedicated to it that I haven't even graduated high school yet, and I've already written the first 4 episodes of the first show. Each season will have 16 episodes, which means that I am already 1/4 through writing the first season of the first show, and I'm not even a full month into my senior year yet. At the rate I'm going, I'll be writing season 2 by the time I graduate high school!
