Playing sports is a big part of my life and it is something I have been doing since I could walk, I've played baseball, soccer, tennis, cross country and track and field. The sports that I enjoy the most and that have affected my high school life the most have been cross country and track. My goals for these sports are to run at the college level and to continue to grow as runner. When I first joined cross country my freshmen year of high school I was simply joining to get condition for other sports that I would play however I quickly started to enjoy the competition and determination as well the amount of hard work that I had to put in for myself to improve my times. It was not like any sport I had ever played, how well I did, what my time was, how satisfied I felt after a race was all up to how much effort I would put in. As someone who thrives on competition and is driven to succeed both academically and athletically I feel like I am ready for the next step which is to go to college.
Since I first entered school I knew how important my grades were as my parents continued to tell me everyday that it was for my future, as such I have always tried my best to succeed in school.
