My name is Leon B. Thompson

I'll like to start by saying these are some of the things that define who I am and will help me achieve my goals in everything I aspire to do in life. I am dedicated, Focused, hard-working, and disciplined. I have always tried to maintain a steady GPA and I take pride in all my athletic achievements. I am always striving to do better in everything I do, and in doing so it will help me reach my full potential as a student and an athlete. One more thing that defines me is my ability to be a team leader which enables me to stay compatible as a runner. As a team leader I feel that it is imperative to set positive examples and be there for my teammates when the need me. I also wanted to mention a very important person in my life who has encouraged me to be the best that I can be it is because my little brother who is autistic that I strive to be the best. I have watched him overcome many obstacles in his life. Although he's only 11 he has come a long way and looks up to me as his big brother and aspires to run on the Special Olympics track team this year. Watching my brother, my little hero makes me want to be a better person.
