Joseph Tugwell '22 Recruiting Profile

As an introduction, my name is Joseph Tugwell and I am currently a Junior at Northgate High School in Walnut Creek, CA. I will be graduating in 2022 and I compete Varsity in the Pole Vault, 800 Meters and 4x400 Meter relays.

I started Pole Vault in my Sophomore year, but due to Covid-19 I was only able to compete in one meet prior to the shut down. During the 2021  shortened season, I achieved 14 Foot in my final meet and have made 14 Foot 6 Inches in practice. I am currently ranked first in my region (North Coast) and equal 21^st in California. I gained over 4 feet in my PR this season.

 Additionally I run the 800 Meters with a PR of 2:06 and run as part of the 4X400 Meter relay team with split time of 0:52.

I am a focused athlete and student.  My strengths are that I am coachable and I work hard to improve my form and achieve my goals.
