People always asks me what my goals are. In the past, it was really easy to answer because I always had defined, very lofty goals. Now, things have changed. My goals are no longer measurable and concrete. The legacy I want to leave is no longer in records and medals. I have records and I have medals but I'm still not satisfied. As far as I'm concerned, I could make it to the Olympics and win a gold medal and I will always be left wanting one more. No medal is every enough. Now, what I want more than anything is something that most people don't understand. I want to make an impact on my team. I don't want to be remembered as my school's greatest runner, in fact, I don't want to be remembered at all. What matters most to me is that the sport I know and love will flourish in my school and my community long after I'm gone. This sport has changed my life, has taught me how to persevere, and has been a constant outlet for all of my stress. Above all else, above all the medals I could earn, above all the records I could set, my greatest desire is that others will be able to have the same passion for this sport as I do. That is my goal.
