Ever since I was a kid I knew I was fast, but it wasn't till middle school that I discovered running was my true passion. Since middle school I have been running at the high school level maintaining 35 to 50 mile weeks with two workouts in the mix. My goals for this year is to run a sub 2:05 in the 800, break 4:30 for the 1600, and hit a 16:30 for 5k. I fully believe that I can hit these goals as I have the determination and grit to make it happen. Academically I am maintaining a full class schedule with a 2.85 cumulative GPA. My GPA isn't as high as I want it to be as a result of my junior in correlation with COVID-19. I am a hard worker in the classroom and hope that colleges can look past the duration of COVID-19. Looking on into the future, I would like to peruse a degree in communications and from there make a career in the military. Running is my happy place and I would like to share this philosophy with others at the college level.
