Personal Statement
Hello,
My name is Carter J. Harris and I am hoping to compete in the State Decathlon at the end of the coming Outdoor season as well as contesting the 800m, 300m Hurdles, and Pole Vault school records. I have had my fair share of struggles with coaching, COVID, as well as a lack of experience and opportunity in new events in the last year or so. However, I would not hesitate putting my strong work ethic, dedication, and focus to use everyday in practice. My strong SAT score, good grades, National Honor Societies memberships, and presence on the Dean's List for the last 2 years can attest to my exceptional abilities in the classroom.
I look forward to not only competing at the collegiate level, but learning more about the sport I love and continuing to get better at it everyday.
