As a track and field runner and student, I am very determined and self-driven. I always strive to improve. I believe that I am extremely coachable and will do and perform anything asked of me in practice and/or in class.
I first began high school as a basketball player looking for a spring sport to participate in and since I have always enjoyed running, I decided to join my high school's track and field program last year. Due to unfortunate injury, I only ran in one race, however this year I have been able to compete in my first full season and fell in love with the sport. This past season, as a junior, I was the captain of the boys’ junior varsity basketball team. I enjoy being captain because I am able to spread encouragement and lead by example as my captains did when I was a freshman. Starting my senior year, I’ll be on the boys' varsity basketball team. I work hard and will always give my best to all the activities and sports in which I participate and compete in.
In the classroom I am focused and determined to always do my best and put 100% into all homework assignments, projects, and tests. I am an honors student, which has taught me the balance between sports and extracurriculars with academics.
I am extremely dedicated to everything I set my mind to, and I always perform to the best of my ability.
