Personal Statement
Started to run for middle school at 8th grade when the team just started its first year. Instantly fell in love with the sport and developed a passion for it. I am willing to run the extra mile to achieve my goals in behalf of the team. It is always so exciting seeing myself and others improve knowing that hard work does pay off.
Holding onto a 3.95 unweighted GPA, I not only value athletics but also academics. I know when is the time to focus on school and when on running. Running and school is just about juxtaposition as it can get since the work you put into it is the result you will get. You cannot wait until the last minute to train for an important race in just one day, just like cramming in all the information you need for a big exam. Through both these factors of my life, I learn time management and to be strong minded to beat procrastination.
