My goals for high school, at the moment, is to surpass my school's discus and shotput records, 158'7" and 49'4" respectively. Then onto Florida's records hopefully. My first and foremost goal for college is to compete for one, and throw 200+ and 60+ then. In high school my grades have been my anchor so far I have had two concussions that might have been a factor in those grades. I have trained with a USAW regional coach, Joe Hanson, who has trained me in the olympic lifts. Back in sophomore year, during lunch the track coach came up to me and said I should try track and that was the beginning of my track career in high school. I started somewhere in the seventies and thirties for my throws, but then was able to advance to regionals in discus by the end of the year. Last year, was my best year in that I was able to advance to states in discus, even with a hamstring injury that had hindered me in shot put. This is the first year in which I have been completely dedicated to the throws and I feel the lofty goals I have set are very well in reach.
