My parents have always wanted me to have a better life than they had whenever they were growing up in Mexico and they always taught me to work hard for what I want and be thankful for what I have. I was interested in track in the sixth grade but during that time i wasn't sure what to run so i ran the 400 after one race I didn't think track was for me so I didn't run for the next two years. Although, I watched my cousin run at state his senior year and after that i decided to run my ninth grade year in where i ran the 1600 and the 3200. My tenth grade year I went to state in FHSAA class 1a for the 4x800 my team came in 14th. I don't think that I am very different from other runners to be honest I know that there are others that are faster than me but I am very dedicated and will work hard to become better and become faster than them on the track. I don't only participate in track I am apart of my schools soccer team as well as other extracurricular activities such as the FFA. I am very thankful to all my coaches and of others that are helping me run at the collegiate level.
