I found I had a love for running, sports physiology, and sports performance as a participant in a research project during 7th grade at the University of Miami. After having success in cross country during my freshman year in high school, I pursued running year round with coaching and proper nutrition. I make running and school my priority. I am dedicated, I work efficiently and effectively in school and when I run. I inspired other cross country and track team members to train year round to build the Riviera Preparatory School team into a state competitor for 2021. I understand that running talent and success is a product of genetics, proper training, and coaching. I am grateful for my ability to run well and inspire others to exercise. My studies in school are focused and my interests include evolutional biology related to sports performance, public health and economics as areas of focus and interest in college.
In fall 2021, I had the idea that myself and my other teammates donate our gently used running shoes to children of migrant workers in Florida City to inspire children to exercise and participate in sports in their school. I plan to continue my sports science studies at the university level and participate at college level track and field and cross country. My goal is to find a college where I can contribute and add value to academic, athletic, and civic life.
