My name is Cole Grande, and I run primarily the 100m and 200m. Before I started running track, I played lacrosse for 6 years and football for 4. During my sophomore year, I decided to take a leap of faith and run track and field instead of lacrosse during the winter season. I immediately fell in love with the sport, as well as the individual aspect of track and field you get from running races like the 100m and 200m. This was unique for me because playing sports like lacrosse and football made me used to being on the field alongside others while working and cooperating together. While running the 4x1, the more familiar team aspect of the sport was for-filled for me as well, it was nice to have the best of both worlds. I recently stopped playing football as well so I can run track year-round, and I look forward to learning more about the sport as well as improving my times and athletic abilities.
