I started running during the Summer of 2022, cross-training for crew and discovered an aptitude and love for running. My high-intensity training and core strength from crew and gymnastics support my ability and goal to compete in cross-country and track and field at the college level. My competitive drive and analytical training are critical to my growth and progress in long-distance running. I have demonstrated my ability to successfully contribute to the team dynamic in crew, with three state championships and three national titles. This cross-country season, my first, was a blast - learning competitive strategies while improving my times throughout the season. I want to compete at the college level, contributing to the team. I'm coachable with a kineaesthetic awareness, able to make corrections and do the work. I plan to study civil engineering, utilizing my spatial and math skills in an applied field. I see my future as a lifelong athlete and hope to apply my studies to sustainable design in urban spaces.
