Eric Perez '22 Recruiting Profile

Starting track and field in my freshmen year, I found a new passion of mine. Moving from year to year I realized that my dreams were becoming reality. Watching my teammates come and go, life-long bonds were created. Enjoying every second of track and field, even practice sometimes in the burning heat of the Miami sun, I knew I would love to continue my track experience wherever I go. However, it wasn’t until my junior year that I found triple jump and knew it was my event. Starting against time and lack of knowledge, mid-way through the season I had just begun triple jump and improved every meet, going all the way to regionals and finishing the season tied for 32^nd in my division. Preparing for my last high school season and ready to have a full season for triple jump, I am ready to succeed and hope to carry on my passion into college. Seeing that I could gain points in triple jump for my team I hope to be a valuable member and contribute to wins. As I continue in college, this is only the beginning of my triple jump career, and hoping to work with my coaches, my future is promising and hope to form more bonds within my new team.
