Personal Statement

Everyone has a heartwarming story about how they've helped their team or got injured. Now, I have my fair share of those stories but that's not what I want you to know about me. Running at the college level is what every athlete dreams of.  Most runners go down in history forgotten or left in mediocrity, but that will not be me. I want to leave my mark on your team and school. Not only have I kept up my academics my entire high school career I have been a vital part of my team's dynamic pushing myself and everyone around me.

Attending the only Naval Honors Highschool in the U.S., as designated by an act of congress, leadership, self-discipline, academic discipline, and integrity have all been stressed intensly throughout my schooling. I have been tasked with not only upholding my school's values myself but I have been given a leadership role in my NJROTC schoolwide battalion. This has led me to not only become a strong leader as captain in my XC and Track teams but to become a leader to all my peers.

My team in Track and XC has not always been the most united due to many different issues, whether it be having a coach for a season or 50% of the team being injured, I have always been the frontrunner in attempting to bring our team together even in less than ideal conditions. Running may happen individually but without a team to support you, you're nothing. You can't win that trophy by yourself nor can you put in those miles as effectively alone.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
