Maxwell Wakeland '24 Recruiting Profile

I strive to be a champion for Christ in all areas of my life. I am a fiercely dedicated athlete, a committed honors/AP academic student, a trusted friend and brother, and a loved immeasurably son. Throughout my education and productive athletic career, I have been and continue to be a leader and team captain among peers on and off campus. I have a heart for people and find great joy in encouraging others to rise as we rise together.

I understand and live by, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for others in speech, in conduct, in love,  in faith, and in purity.” It is in my lineage and in me to work hard, learn, teach, protect, persevere, and continue seeking lessons and growth in all circumstances. I am confident this backstory will serve me well as I transition to the next environment of competing and learning.

I have academic goals to dive deep to pursue Physics, Engineering, and Business Administration within Finance. I look forward to discovering the opportunities to work with people to create, preserve, and conserve as I serve my family, community, state, and nation in these areas. In addition, I have one striking athletic goal: to WIN while being the absolute best athlete I can be every day.

I look forward to this recruiting process to explore how I can serve a competitive team with an objective and aspiration to win as I pursue my higher education.
