I have been running track since I was 7 years old, and have always wanted to run on a college level following in my dad's footsteps. I have been to the Jr. National Olympics three times in the 800m, and was an All-American each time. I am a coachable athlete. I know what it takes to train and win. If given the opportunity I will show you how I can benefit the program, and represent the university as a respectable student athlete.
My talent is middle distance, but I lost my way in the 9th grade because I thought I wanted to be a sprinter. Now I have to earn my place back (top 10 in USATF), so I am hungry to prove I deserve to be there and to reclaim my spot. Because I have been training most of my life I know what I need to do. I have the work ethic to get there. I just need someone to put their trust in me.
Although track and field appears to be an individual sport I am also a team player. I have been a part of a 4x4 team since I started running track. I love winning with others, so I will definitely bring that same spirit to your team.
Due to COVID-19 the 2020 track season was cut short, but I am confident I can, and I will improve my times this season. Currently I am running Cross Country to improve my strength and conditioning, as well as working with a coach outside of the school.
Thank you for your consideration.
