Hi, my name is Brett and I’m a senior at Veterans High School located in Middle Georgia. This is my final year before graduating in the class of 2022, and I’m looking forward to continuing my journey towards higher education and resuming my passion of running.
I am a proven leader both in the classroom as well as on the track. I pride myself in maintaining a healthy balance of academic success by enrolling in challenging AP and Honors classes as well as a three year member of my schools Cross Country and two years on the Track team. My leadership skills are supported by being hand-picked as a teacher’s aide assisting under classmen with Advanced Graphics and being the school’s Media Assistant along with being selected as the Captain on both Cross Country and Track teams. I’m currently filling a leadership position on the Fellow Christian Athlete Club and really enjoy motivating my peers to achieving their goals.
During my three years, I have improved upon my fundamentals and decreased my times significantly year after year. I work hard and I’m very coachable integrating my coaches’ guidance and advice to better myself on the field. I’m very competitive but also highly team oriented, when competing I give my best in any event I am told to run and I value overall team success versus individual awards. Advanced education is very important as well as athletic success, it is a top priority for me to demonstrate the responsibility and discipline to manage school and maintain expected running performance.
