Hello NCSA community, my name is Isaac Navarro. I was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii. I currently attend Kealakehe High School, home of the Waveriders and am the graduating class of 2015. I am apart of my high schools Track and Field program. I have been apart of the program since freshman year and have continued to participate since and plan to run track the remaining years of high school. My primary events are the 100m and 200m dashes and the 4x100 meter relay. I have the drive and determination to continue to become a better student and an athlete. I have committed to track and train to the most of my ability every practice and compete to my best potential in every race. I have gained an extraordinary amount of experience as I have continued my journey as a track athlete. As graduation gets closer, I realized track is my passion and I would like to pursue my goals and continue to run at the collegiate level. Academically, I am apart of multiple Honors and Advanced Placement courses and rank in the top 40 of my average 300 sized student class while also maintaining an average 3.8 GPA. As a sophomore, I had earned my first varsity letter and accomplishing that as only a sophomore, it persuaded me to work even harder to better myself as well as becoming faster on the track. Making my first varsity team as a sophomore allowed me to compete against some of the top competitors in the state and it inspired me to push my limits even further in future seasons and it also gave me the confidence of being able to go far with my track career. As a junior, I have been taking a more serious approach of where I stand and what it would take to compete at the next level. So, I gained a more serious attitude about my training; from weight training to speed training, I work very hard during both the off season and during track season. As a result of my junior season, I have obtained outstanding personal records and I qualified for the state championships for the first time in the 4x100 Meter Relay. Track is more than just a sport, but a passion that I am fully committed too and continue to work hard to reach the peak of my athleticism. Running at the college level would give me the amazing opportunity to further my experience and would allow me to become an even better and faster runner. Being a college runner would open more opportunities to learn much more about commitment, leadership and being well developed both on the track and off of it. To be given such an opportunity would allow me to demonstrate the positivity and commitment I would be willing to bring to your program. Thank you for taking a look at my profile and I hope to make future connections.
Sincerely, Isaac Navarro
