No one in my family has ever graduated from college, I'd love to be the first, but that's not enough for me. I want to set the bar high for my younger sister and future kids. So, not only do I want to graduate from college first, I'd love to get a Ph.D., although I'm not entirely sure in what field just yet. I feel like I'd be a good candidate for any team because I am very dedicated and never okay with being mediocre. I love the competition and I love being viewed as an underdog. Why am I different from all the other recruits? Academically I currently have a 3.4 however this is usually around 3.6-3.7 and is currently low because I missed a lot of school due to my knee surgery last semester. Athletically I love what I do and give it my all the entire season. I am also very coachable and eager to learn, often I had my coach stay late to help me with my form. I was going to start throwing in November in preparation for this track season however like I said I had surgery. I tore my medial and lateral meniscus playing football and played all through pre-season camps, the regular season, and the post-season. I am resilient and very dedicated to what I do. Now I am cleared to start working on exercises and feel like I have something to prove to myself this season and can only do so by placing high in the state tournament. That is why I feel like I am different from every other candidate.
