College is a time of change and discovery. Being a high school senior this year, lots of my time and thoughts have gone into what the next chapter of my life will look like. For a long time now I have been striving to become a successful engineer and am planning on majoring in it. Working hard in achieving my goals is a core value to me and is a crucial part of my personality. Throughout my whole life I have worked hard for my goals well be it: sports and being where I want to be physically, schooling and maintaining a 4.0 GPA so I may be given have opportunities later in life, or other goals involving my religion and social aspects of life. As an athlete, I have always had to work hard to improve and perfect my craft. I always try to put 110% into everything I do and sports was no different. My work ethic has lead me to receive lots of opportunities, that otherwise I would not have been given. People tell me that they look up to me and that I have the talent of being a natural leader. I'm a good friend to many on my team, but also push them to their best potential. I mainly try to lead by example, teammates that see how much I care and work for my goals inspire them to do the same. Having a good work ethic is a crucial part of the man that I am today. As college approaches and life gets a little more complicated I hope to carry these same values to help guide me to become an even better person.
