I have had such an amazing and rewarding experience running at York Community High School in Illinois that running is something I look forward to continuing during my college years. I have thrived in this competitive culture and want to work with my future teammates toward achieving additional team and individual accomplishments.
Placing 3rd at the ShaZam State Meet in November of 2020 made me want more. Competing at the Track and Field state meet and running a personal best in that tense environment helped me to see that I am physically and mentally strong.
My mental strength is also displayed in the classroom. I will be an asset to my team academically. I have worked hard to achieve a 4.91/4.0 weighted GPA. I have earned all A's except for that single B... freshman year... English class... it still haunts me!
I was honored to earn the Sportsmanship Award following my freshmen year XC season. Now I'm working to lift my teammates up and help them to reach their full potential.
