Track has undoubtedly made me the man I am today. Currently, I am proud to be entering my senior season in the captain position, and I am set on being the best leader the team has ever seen. I've always worked well with others, because the people you train with aren't just your teammates, they are family. I've spent years around these men, and we've grown into great athletes together, I could wish for nothing more to lead them and all the newcomers to a successful season. Being a part of the track team has also taught me great discipline. When my grades began to suffer from COVID quarantine, track picked me out of my slump. I owe this sport more than I wish to admit, especially my academic improvement over junior and now senior year. I would consider myself a prime choice when looking for potential recruits. My work ethic is unmatched because I am never satisfied. After injuring my hamstring my junior year, I was unable to get myself out there and do big things. However, it's never too late. The moment we returned from the state meet I began working again. All summer I trained by myself, never wasting a day. Then in the Fall, I trained under the cross-country team as I've done for the last three years. I have devoted myself to this sport and I guarantee that the Spring 2023 season will be mine to make the most of.
