Junior year had marked my second year of running. In this short time, I was able to break my personal records largely. I had originally started my sophomore season with a 2:40, 800 meter but I managed to finish with a 2:02 split in my relay for junior year. I believe that I elevate teammates to push themselves to greatness. This is due to me leading relays and gaining leads to pressure them into maintaining or building a gap against other schools,
I credit this progress due to my off season training and dedication. I always try to go the extra mile like doing summer cross country camps, running during the winter, and taking extra care into my routine and diet. I always make sure to do injury prevention exercises in order to make steady progress and I wake up early in the morning to do my academic work. I also compete with my teammates largely in order to gain better results. I constantly compare times during race meets and workouts to competitively be locked in and strive to beat them. I think I would be a good candidate for a collegiate team due to my dedication, routine, competitiveness, and academic skills.
