As a collegiate student/athlete my goals are to become a more well-rounded man in all aspects of my life. I see academics as a means to grow in knowledge and ability, shaping me for my future profession whether it be as an athlete, engineer, in law or whatever.
I'd like to shoot for maintaining a B average throughout all four years of college which will impact my pursuits on the field as well. In that regard, I hope to make a significant impact towards my team's success not only on the game field but in the way we, as men, approach everything from daily practice, to living honorably on campus.
I have plans to serve in the military. I love this country and have a real sense of obligation to be part of a military team tradition that keeps our freedoms alive. That's one of the reasons I love football, it's sanctioned combat, and I love the brotherhood that combat demands. I need my teammates and knowing that my teammates need me causes me to take my role seriously!
My faith in God is important to me and the things God expects of me translate to integrity, dedication and courage. I think these qualities are lived out in class and on the football field. I believe this makes me a better teammate and student.
