Even without a Junior season because of COVID, I have run a 22.26 200m, 49.14 400m, and a 16:24 5k. Because of this range, I believe I am the most versatile runner in the state of Indiana.
After concentrating on soccer and basketball through middle school, I was encouraged by coaches and teammates to give track a shot, as speed was always an advantage for me in these sports. In my first year running as a freshman for Bloomington North, I was immediately moved up to varsity and began running the 400, 4x400 relay and the 200. Before the year was over, I had broken a 28 year old class record at the school with a time of 51.17, and qualified for sectionals and regionals.
During my sophomore year, I was a top 4 runner for our Cross Country team, helping us to an 8th place state finish. In Indoor Track, I anchored the 4x400 team to a 3rd place finish in State. During outdoor Track, I scored a lot of points for my team in the 200, 400, 4x400 and 4x800. I broke under 50 in the open 400, running a 49.72 in Sectionals, finishing with the 3rd best sophomore time in Indiana. I led off for our state 4x800 team, which got on the podium with a 7th place finish. My favorite thing about this year is that our team took 1st in County, Sectionals and Regionals. I'm very, very proud of that.
In addition to these athletic achievements, I have maintained a 4.1 grade point average and am taking multiple honors courses. I was recently named 1st Team Academic All State for Cross Country. I pride myself on my work ethic both on the field and in the classroom and strongly believe that no one will outwork me.
I am very grateful to all the coaches who have been reaching out to me!
