I value a quality education at an excellent academic institution. I also love running as it helps me focus and gets me in the right state of mind to focus on serving others. I started running just to help my speed in baseball and fell in love with the sport. I found I was good at it and upon entering my sophmore year at Brownsburg, where I transferred, I increased my time from 19:45 to 18:15 in a cross country 5k competition and was named Rookie of the Year for the program that finished 5th in the state. My goal is to be sub 16's by the time I graduate and my coach believes I can do it. I make a daily effort to watch what I eat and push myself to be a better person and athlete. I also love running with my teammates and encouraging them to get better each day. I have served and continue do so those who are disenfranchised and marginalized both at my church and other organizations. I have enjoyed serving with my parents with those who are homeless and suffer from addiction. It has inspired me to one day work in therapy and help people in need. I hope one day to use my discipline in cross country, in education and in my current work at McDonalds to contribute to helping people and making this world a better place.
