Academics have always come first to me, but when I discovered my love for track & field, I began to also think of myself as an athlete. I have run track & field since I was in the 5th grade, and I have played club soccer for 5 years. Once I started my freshman year of High School, I took a break from soccer to focus on my Academics and have maintained a 3.5 GPA. I also spent 1 year playing football for my high school but suffered a concussion that set my training back 6 months. I am planning on going back to playing soccer my junior year.
Through my years of playing on team athletics I have learned to have patience, positivity, persistence and what it means to be a part of a team.
