I've been running XC and track & field since the 8th grade. Prior to that, I was a serious soccer player playing midfielder where I ran a lot! The High School coaches noticed me and recruited me to run in high school. They saw something in me I didn't realize - that I could become one of their top runners.
Since my freshman year, I've been running varsity. I'm a junior now and compete with the top runners in Indiana. I've broken several records at Westfield High School and am on track to be our fastest runner in school history.
My body is holding up well and I take good care of myself which is one reason I believe I'm able to run the times I have. I'm also fairly young for my class and feel that will only benefit me once I get into a college program.
One of my best attributes is that I'm a leader! My coaches and teammates look to me for that and I don't let them down.
My goal is to run for a D1 college and professionally. I enjoy drawing in my free time to help myself relax. I make videos while I run with great scenery hoping to inspire others to run. I also enjoy playing steel pan and Jimmy Buffett music. In school, classes that challenge me and are my favorites include business, history, and Spanish.
