Personal Statement
Throughout my high school career, I have won many tournaments and awards. I have been asked to join the school team at the International Academy Amman in grade 6 as the coach has seen the huge potential, and my life has changed since then. I have explored discipline and hard work and also improved many skills through consistent training which pretty much taught me responsibility, motivation, morals, and sportsmanship. In 10th grade, I got recruited to the Jordanian National Team as I have been evolving ever since, it really gives me a boost as I go against athletes older than me, as it leads me to work even harder on myself and even develop my skills and growth as a person. However, all the hard work is what has led me to go up the steps and play at the college level.
Covid-19 has definitely affected my journey in a number of ways, as my trip to IMG Academy in Florida has been canceled where I enrolled for a whole month during the summer to enhance my skills and improve my numbers. Furthermore, all the national and international tournaments have been canceled. Although it is disappointing, it has not stopped me from training even harder almost every day of the week.
