Seymur Bastin Caglayan '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Seymur, and I am a triathlete based in Thailand. I love to train a lot and will represent Turkey for international triathlon races in the next few months. My biggest quality would be my discipline and determination to succeed whenever I set myself a goal or target. In the future, I am looking for a college/university that would allow me to continue training and racing for triathlon, at the same time as being in the cross country team. Out of the three sports of triathlon, the one that comes most naturally to me is running, and this is why I would like to focus on it in the next few years. In terms of academics, I am able to achieve high grades (A*AAA predicted A Levels for Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Computer Science) while keeping a very high training volume. Furthermore, I am an excellent team leader who is really good at motivating others around me.
