Ernest Connan '20 Recruiting Profile

My track career started of in primary school when a friend and myself started becoming very competitive in all our sport. We were both pretty good at all the different sports at the time except for one event, hurdles. I approached my track coach at the time and asked him if he can help me with hurdles.  I did not know where I was heading but the only thing I knew was that I needed to learn how to do hurdles so I can compete against him. Looking back it has taken 6 years of hard training and determination and I have finally reached a point were I'am able to compete against stronger and faster hurdlers.  My academics have not been at its best due to the fact that in 2015 in grade 8 I had to learn a whole new language (English) and all my subjects became a little bit harder, but I was determined to learn this language to be able to study abroad.
