Personal Statement
I have ran since I was in first year of secondary school, age 13. I became serious about it at about age 15 and since then I have dreamt of making it, my end goal is to eventually make it to the Olympics by 2028 or 2032.
I am a hard working athlete who performs well in the field and in school. I never skip training unless it is absolutely detrimental that I do and that has yet to happen. I currently run a 16:18 road 5k, and a 4:22 1500m, all with MUCH room for improvement.
I currently train 6 days a week under Ken Nason, a sub 4 minute miler who attended Villanova. The school I attend, Coláiste Chríost Rí (Christ The King in english) is ranked number 7 in Ireland for athletics based on gold medal wins alone so we are very competitive. It is my dream to run track in college and would be grateful to be given the chance as I am well aware of what a privilege it is.
Outside of athletics, things that interest me are, maths, physics, DCG and music. I used to play lead guitar in a band so I work well in a team.
