Personal Statement
Dear Future Coach,
A college roster sport is one of the most prestigious achievements can obtain. It is also a dream of mine. Why you should give me am opportunity to live my dream include:
-I am obsessed with the sport: Since my track season last year, I have constantly been in the gym, constantly putting in mileage, studying to improve my weaknesses from last year (sprint speed for the 400 meters and endurance for the 800 meters). I have the determination that make most great.
-My rapid improvement: Last year was my first year focusing on competitive track. That being said, as a 15 year old, I ran 51 seconds in the 400 meters and a 2:04 in the 800 meters. This year, with the amount of work I have been putting in and my body till developing, I am becoming better by the day.
-My academic capabilities: As an eleventh grader, I am already taking a college course (AP Language), which is abnormal in the Bahamian school system. You will not have to worry about my grades. From a young boy, my mother has instilled in me the importance of academics, which is why I am so diligent in my studies.
I plead that you allow me to bring to your program a prolific work ethic and the capability to bring success, to help my future teammates become better and motivated, and to live out my dream.
