Ranahj Cooper '23 Recruiting Profile

“Determination chases success!”  As an avid athlete and lover of all sports, especially track and field, I follow some of the best and greatest in the sporting world.  I admired Kobe Bryant’s work ethic and mentality and believe in the constant quest to be the best version of myself.  I am interested in competing as a full-time college track and field athlete and obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.  I would like to attend university and have my talents and skills honed into excellence and realize my dream of competing in track and field professionally. 

I am a promising track athlete that has been making steady progress and improvement. Track and Field has been a major part of my life for the last 4 years. I started seriously training in the ninth grade and ever since I have competed in many track meets, gained numerous medals and represented my school and track club. I have persevered through many challenges and disappointments. My desire is to try out and make the track team. One of my biggest goals is to represent my country in track and field on the world stage and I possess the talent and work ethic to eventually fulfill that goal. Ultimately, through hard work, training and determination, I would like to become a major asset to your track team.

Moreover, I intend to pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering. While competing athletically, I've been able to maintain honor roll status throughout my school career.  I’ve always had an interest in engineering, but it wasn’t until I worked a few summers at my grandfather’s electrical company that I realized I loved the electrical field. Eventually, I would love to expand and form my own engineering firm.

I am an excellent academic student and track athlete and will excel once given the opportunity.
