I am a student that wishes to pursue a tertiary level education to follow my life’s dreams.
As a high school student, I continually strive to maintain a high academic G.P.A of 3.5 and above. My dream is
to reach college athletics. I started Track and Field in primary school and I continue to
participate in Track and Field events today. Basketball is my second loved sport. I started
playing in my junior year of secondary school and I continue to practice, becoming better
at the sport. I believe in hard work and dedication because hard work pays off and
dedication helps you to become more discipline in whatever you do.
Playing team sports is an important and integral part of my life because I love to encourage
my teammates to never give up and persevere through the pain. By being a positive example,
I believe that they too can reach their full potential. I really don’t want to
leave anyone behind, as I work hard in pursuit of success, with the help of God. The college majors I wish to
pursue and master are Electrical Engineering and Architectural Design. I believe in
obedience and being respectful, because respect can take you around the world and open
unimaginable doors of opportunities.
I will listen to and comply with the directions, commands and advice given by my coaches
and elders. I am persistent and believe in not giving up when faced with obstacles and
challenges because I want to achieve my personal and career goals. Being a Caribbean athlete from a small country helps me to appreciate
team sports as I seek to increase my skill level and athletic ability.
I love to inspire others to become the best they could be and to always show respect to their
elders. Without the help of my family, coaches and supporters, I could not and would not
be the person I am today. All of these characteristics have contributed to making me the
person I am today and thus, I am of the view that I am a worthy candidate for you
illustrious learning institution’s sports team.
