Personal Statement
I have been competing in National League Athletics in the UK since I was 10 years old. I am now 17 and my passion for athletics still continues to grow daily. I won my first medal at State Championships when I was just 12 years old against some very tough competition and against boys who were so much older and at the time stronger than me. Since then there has not been a year where I have not won a state title.
I have always been adaptable and willing to do what it takes to be the best athlete that I can be and have been fortunate to have been supported by my coaches and parents to train in an environment that can best support my track and field career and have been lucky enough to travel to Europe and the USA to participate in warm weather training to ensure that my training is un-interupted by the changeable British weather.
This year my track and field career has progressed into the National English Schools League where I qualified into the English Schools National Final for Decathlon in my first year competing in these 10 events as an under 20 athlete despite having only just turned 17, and was a member of the team that won the Junior Decathlon Team Champion Title, whilst studying hard at my school (Canterbury High School - Elite Athletics Academy) in Sporting Performance and Excellence. In this event I am already ranked 20th in the UK and I know that my commitment to my training will see my ranking go higher.
My ultimate dream is to compete on the international stage with an ultimate dream of earning a place on the Olympic or World Championship team and my ambition to achieve this pushes me everyday to never give up and learn from my coach how I can continue to improve upon my personal bests each and every season.
