Hello to all coaches,
My name is Jaimie Omalla and I am a Dutch-Ugandan Sprinter. I study at an international school in Kenya called Rift Valley Academy. I started sprinting late last year, and in only a few short months have accomplished a lot. It has been extremely fun, yet still very challenging. I and my brother have had to wake up at 5:30 every morning and train, for an hour then train later in the evening for over an hour. What has made it more difficult is having a coach that visits once a month, and not even having a track team. Still, my drive and determination have led me to where I am today. One thing I always tell myself is that I will never ever be outworked. I strongly believe that I have stuck to that. I believe I would be a good fit for colleges who are looking for an independent, hard worker. Everyone always says that they are different than everyone else, even if it isn't true. However I have grown up in Africa my whole life; I have worked harder than anyone else that I know in my school and athletics combined; I have achieved so much with only 6 months of training; I am different. And with all this in mind you can be rest assured that I will be the fastest athlete I can be and achieve my goals with hard work and sacrifice.
