Personal Statement
Defining who we are and what we can do lies in the strengths through which we can push our limits and achieve what we never know we could, well running is and was a sport I never took serious interest in despite the fact that I could stretch myself to run and be the fastest among my peers . I was uncertain of my passion and dedication to running as I was committed to soccer and partly rugby thus engaging in the two activities which required speed and endurance. Beginning of my semester I enrolled for the AFROTC program which among the many requirements needed, one was to be physically fit. They conducted a physical fitness assessment mock to do a 1.5 mile run and I was able to be number one with a time of 9:49:13 this gave the motivation to do better as I felt the taste of winning and also this being my first time to run. We finally had the actual PFA where I was able to do a 1.5 mile run in 8:30:15 I was more than proud realizing I had broken my own record and this has cultivated not only my spirits for improvements but also success in all other fields I engage in. I plan on pursuing Aerospace engineering, and being a technical and not difficult field I aspire to use the persistence and to push forward to achieve my dreams of becoming a pilot and also a successful athlete and figure in all that I do.
