- 2017 Highlights
Personal Statement
I am Noah Farrell, I am currently in grade 11 at Kings Christian Collegiate in Ontario, Canada. I have been running track for a year now, and 2016-2017 was my first full Track and Field season.
In grade nine I ran the 800 meters and 1500 meters. At our regional meet my coach put me into the 100 meters as an extra event, and I made the final without any previous training, and no experience in club track. I took a liking to the event, so I joined my local Track and Field club, Burlington Track and Field. The summer going into grade ten I joined my team, and by the end of that summer I had ran many races. This includes Ontario Championships, and Legion Youth Nations Championships in St Therese Quebec. I had dropped a few tenths off my time to a 11.93 seconds.
Going into Grade ten is when I started taking my training very seriously. I trained hard for three days a week, giving me time to recover and run at 100% every time. After months of hard training the summer season came around and felt I was very prepared. I went from 11.93 the previous season to a 11.3 seconds, and a 11.27 wind aided time. A few meets I ran at are National Championships in Ottawa, winning a silver medal with our relay team, OFSAA Track and Field Championships, and Youth Nationals Championships.
This season I am more ambitious than ever. After last season I am very confident that I can drop even more time off my current personal best. My goals for this season are 10.80 in the 100 meters, and 22.0 in the 200. With me in my best shape ever, my great coache, and my personal motivation I believe that I can go far in the Track and Field world.
