Personal Statement
My name is Sam Markey, my aspirations for college would be to develop myself not just as an athlete but also as an individual. What makes me a good candidate is the dedication towards javelin and my personal development within my sport, I am never content and always find ways to improve in myself. I have been the county champion for the previous four seasons and this is due psychical characteristics and also the ability to thrive under pressure. What separates me from the crowd in my sport is my physical strength and size, making for very large sporting potential. Through the process of creating strength in my body it has created the discipline i show in my sport and my study. I am a very motivated individual whether that is with javelin or my academics, therefore creating success in those areas. I am confident in myself in being able to adapt to American college life and has been a life long dream of mine to study in America.
I am completely dedicated to javelin and American collegiate life and will never stop striving to be the best version of myself whether that is on or off the field.
