My name is Tyler Otto. I am a 16 years old, 5'6" & 148lbs. Track ad Field athlete. I started with track and field when I was 3 years old on the advise of my doctor to control by asthma attacks . I became interested in the sport when I started to see how fast I was developing in the events and how all the hard work started to pay-off. Track and field also thought me how to socialize with more people because there is a lot of teamwork going on especially in the age group, I also learned that when I put myself up to something I don't mind the sacrifice as long as I reach that goal. I'm a very social/funny person but when it comes to being serious I'm a very focused and quiet person. I've had a couple of setbacks in my track career. In 2018 I pulled my left hamstring and tore the meniscus of my right knee when I went with the national team to Aruba. This cost me 8 weeks of my season. After this in 2019 I pulled my right hamstring and that cost me another 6 weeks. But those setbacks gave me a chance to rest and make a great comeback and that is exactly what I did since those injuries and covid-19. I kept putting in hard work and my times started to get faster after every race and I'm thankful for my coaches and teammates for always helping me and having my back. Have a lot of goals in Track but I also have a lot of goals that I want to reach at high school such as being student of the year, being an A student, being a good example for my classmates. When I reach college I want to be known as someone whose helpful, caring, smart. Just like in high school. I want to be an A student, I want to do everything possible to help the college's status, and I want to graduate steadily.
