I have been running since I was 13 years old. Ever since then, I realized I have a love for track; especially the hurdles. Once I started high school and ran at a varsity level, I decided I wanted to run at a collegiate level. Being chosen to run in college is an unbelievable opportunity and it is one that I hope to receive.
I mainly focus on hurdles and have a good kick out of the start of the race. I try to train as much as possible including during the summer and off season. When I am in practice, I give my all and am very coachable, as well as try to learn as much as possible. I tent to lead during practice with the other hurdlers on our team. I make every practice count and work very hard to improve.
In school, I have a 4.0 GPA and work hard to keep it that way. I am focused in school and push myself harder than most because I hold myself to a high standard. I am a mentor to a young boy in our elementary school. I do this because he isn't very involved in school and I want to help him to enjoy coming to school.
I want to attend a college that will help me become a Forensic Scientist. I would like to stay close to home so I can still see my family. I am looking for a college that will push me out of my comfort zone to become a better person and help me launch my future goals.
