I am looking to play College Baseball at a competitive level while receiving an education from a first class university. I am a 2018 graduate 1st/OF hoping to establish a relationship with several coaching staffs to help determine if my skill sets both athletically and academically would be compatible with their expectations in 2018.
In addition to the profile stats; I am ranked #12 in the nation for the 60 yard dash for 2018 grads (PG Showcase fall 2017), 10 SPL 1.54, exit velocity 93, bat speed at impact 88.739, hand speed 34.578 and time to impact 0.102.

- Zakary Packingham is a 2018 OF/1B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Hiawatha, IA who attends John F Kennedy HS. Large frame with long limbs and a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 6.60 sixty yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while closing to the baseball. Funnels baseball off to side with developing fluidity while working through transition. Extended arm circle back at separation and releases from a three-quarters slot. Produced occasional carry to the bag at 64 mph. Also worked out defensively from first base showing smooth paced footwork while centering and surrounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling out front. Topped at 65 mph across the infield with softer carry and accuracy to the bag. Right handed hitter with an upright, straight stance. Compact, direct path to contact with a naturally lifted swing plane through extension. Swings with intent to drive the baseball into the outfield gaps. Flashed present bat speed and strength that generated solid backspin and to the gaps when contact was squared. Repeats swing well with solid fluidity when front side trigger and hands arrived on time. Good student as well. Named to Top Prospect Team.

- Zakary Packingham is a 2018 1B/OF with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Hiawatha, IA who attends John F Kennedy HS. Very tall and slender build, minimal present strength but has got stronger since last viewing. Outstanding runner, 6.71 in the sixty, easy strides and light on his feet. Arm strength still developing but outfield is his future position with physical maturity. Right handed hitter, straight stance, tends to lean back in swing, swings hard and has improving bat speed, squared the ball up well, mid field to pull side contact. Very projectable athlete and keeps improving on the baseball field as he gets stronger.

- Zakary Packingham is a 2018 1B/OF/RHP with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Hiawatha, IA. Tall and slender, very young look. 6.99 in the sixty, runs very well for his age and size. Young actions in the field defensively, arm strength just developing, outfield is his idea position once he grows into his coordination and arm. Right handed hitter, aggressive swing and creates good bat speed for a freshman, tends to lean back and get on his heals in his swing creating length and an upper cut plane, good game swings and competed wounell against older pitching. Will be an interesting young athlete to watch develop.
