Qualifying for state in track my freshmen year was such an amazing accomplishment for me and definitely is one of my proudest achievements. But i feel as though my sophomore season has taught me a lot more about myself mentally than my freshmen year did, I battled through injuries the whole season which had a major impact on my performance the whole year. I did not finish the year the way i wanted but it taught me to cherish the things I have and to work harder everyday because you never know when an injury will come along and set you back. I believe that this will help me at the college level because you face a lot of challenges at the next level, and I believe that my talent athletically and my want to become better and work harder will help me be successful at the college level.
I am proud to say that I am apart of Olathe West Track and Field team. I have learned so much in the short time i've been there. I am hoping to find a college that fits me as a person and as a student athlete. One that challenges me both on the track and in the classroom. I am looking for a coach who believes that my effort in the classroom is just as important as my effort on the track and who wants to help me become the best version of myself that I can be.
