My collegiate goal is to strive to be the best that I can be and to work as hard as possible to achieve success in sports as well as academically toward a degree in physical therapy. I am dedicated, hardworking and very eager to learn.
I started throwing Javelin in April 2019 after deciding to step away from several years of baseball. I wanted to remain focused in sports and felt Javelin was a sport I could compete. My first competition throw at my first meet was 141 feet on 4/5/19. Additional achievements since beginning my javelin career include a Personal Record (PR) of 164 feet on 5/10/19 at League Track Meet. I also had a practice PR of 182 feet at Shockers Throwers Camp(WSU) on 6/20/19 in Wichita, KS.. I did represent my school at the Kansas State Track Meet and lettered in high school Track & Field this year. After 8 years of playing infield and pitching in baseball, I feel I have found a sport that leverages some of my acquired baseball skills and also truly motivates me to compete at a top level.
Also academically I am taking college courses during my senior year while trying to increase my GPA. I have planned to sit for the ACT test two more times my senior year.
