I have always aspired to be a college athlete, but track and field pulled me in as a seventh grader. I competed as a sophomore in the pole vault (15’-0”), high jump (6’-6”) and both hurdle races (14.85 110HH, 40.43 300IM).
You will find that I work hard in all I do. As a sophomore, not only did I achieve on the track and field, but contributed on the varsity basketball court, and varsity football field. I work a full-time farming job in the summer, boast a 3.93 GPA (darn that Algebra!), and play saxophone in the Select Jazz Band.
I know track is a team sport and enjoy being a leader on the team by encouraging my teammates to practice hard and by cheering them on at meets. I have been in student council for 2 years and will hold office my junior year. I was inducted into National Honor Society as a sophomore. I am active in 4-H, community, and church.
I look forward to speaking with you about competing in college. Thanks for your time.
