My name is Dashawn Overly. I am writing to you because of my interest in running cross-country and track on a college level. I’m currently a Senior and the leader on my team receiving Mason county high school runner of the year my 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th grade year. I also qualified for state as an 8th grader!
My work ethic is above average. Besides my team daily practices through the week, I run every day, on the weekends and all year round. I maintain an average of a 3.75 GPA taking AP and Honors classes. Besides school and practices, I work a part time job getting home around 10pm at night, I then do a nightly core workout. I am 6’2” 162lbs.
I attended the Bluegrass Running camp at Campbellsville University last summer and obtained a lot of knowledge and skills from the training staff there, I am attending this summer as well. I plan to attend college to be an Architect with Reality as a part of my career as well. I chose not play basketball my junior and senior year because I was missing indoor track and I want to focus solely on running; as it is my passion. I’m very goal oriented and would be a significant asset to your team.
