Winning my way to state freshmen year, after only competing in two varsity meets, district and regionals, showed me my potential in pole vault. However, I feel sophomore year has taught me what I am truly capable of as an athlete when I had to step up, pole vault and high jump, to bring points in for the team and still advancing to state. That experience has helped me grow as an athlete and a person. It refocused my own efforts on becoming a well conditioned, explosive pole vaulter capable of doing multiple track and field events well.
I have been very fortunate in the last two year to compete at the state level. This last year I have truly learned the value of true dedication, commitment, and sacrifice as a team player. The type of program I am looking for will be a good fit athletically and academically. Knowing I not only have the talent to be competitive at the collegiate level but the hard work ethic, level of commitment and dedication I have will make an impact on your program! As a varsity football player and track athlete I know that I have what it takes to be a competitor on your team!
